DPL Productions have been supplying professional lighting equipment, rigging services, sound equipment and technical production services to the events & entertainment industries for over 30 years.
We service a range of industries and events, including; festivals, fashion, product launches, conferences, and corporate events, specialising in concert touring, architectural and festive lighting.
In recent years the business has grown significantly, but our core principles are unchanged. We remain committed to delivering the same levels of service to every one of our clients whether they are hiring a single spotlight or employing us to design and tour an arena show.
With a number of confirmed bookings for the next 12 months, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team.
- This role is based at the company’s main warehouse in Wickford, Essex.
Within this role, you will take responsibility for the planning, delivery and management of key projects throughout the country.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as Project Manager in all areas of delivering a project; including calculating technical specifications, equipment, crew schedules, power and structural specification, transport requirements, etc.
- Produce Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) for projects.
- Handle rental enquiries for production clients. Process client requests and issue quotations.. .
- Match client requirements to available rental stock.
- Locate and negotiate prices for orders for requirements of sub-hired equipment from the company’s suppliers for specific projects.
- Coordinate the equipment prep stage of a project within the company’s warehouse facilities, to match clients’ requirements.
- Identify and locate potential projects and sales opportunities for DPL Productions.
- Managing any project changes and customer confirmations, collating and reporting all charges to be invoiced.
- Attend production and site meetings as required (this may include out-of-hours appointments).
- Participate in the management of the booking and allocation of full-time and freelance production crew with experience appropriate to the work.
Skills Required:
- Excellent communications / interpersonal skills.
- Good management skills and ability to lead and coordinate a team.
- Good understanding of profitability and cost control.
- Ability to manage a situation and effectively deal with team members.
- Good working knowledge of a full range of sound, video, lighting, staging and rigging equipment.
- Strong IT knowledge preferably with a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Attention to detail.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working on their own initiative.
- Full driving licence required.
