DPL Lighting hire had a very wet weekend at both T in the Park and the Wireless Festival 2012 in Hyde park. Our hire department supplied Chroma Q's Color Web 125 (to Picture Works) to supplement the Calvin Harris set at both festivals and Pete Watts, DPL Technical Director was there with Professor Green, again at both T in the Park and Wireless. T in the Park has grown to become host to 85,000 people on an airfield on the edge of Fife and becomes the fifth largest town in Scotland over the course of its weekend. This year's headliners were the Stone Roses plus Snow Patrol and Kasabian, also playong were Florence + the Machine, New Order, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Vaccines, The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, Frank Turner, Miles Kane, The Horrors, Jessie J, Maverick Sabre, Skrillex, The Wanted, Tinie Tempah, Example, David Guetta, Benga, Erol Alkan and of course Professor Green & Calvin Harris. The 2012 Wireless Festival featured dance superstar Deadmau5 on Friday, Canadian megastar Drake on the Saturday and  International superstar Rihanna headlined on Sunday 8 July. Other artists included Afrojack, The Roots, Maverick Sabre, Knife Party, Metric, Nicki Minaj, Example, Wiz Khalifa, Jessie J, Labrinth, J. Cole, Rizzle Kicks, Kaskade and Flux Pavilion. The Barclaycard Wireless festival is an open-air festival produced by Live Nation UK in Hyde Park, London.
